When you connect your Medicare account through CMS Blue Button 2.0, we may collect Medicare claims data, coverage information, patient demographic data if you authorize it, and medication and visit history derived from claims. We may also collect account information such as your name and email address and platform usage information needed to operate the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide a personal health record experience, organize uploaded and connected records, support care coordination, enable pharmacy and provider interactions within MDHIN, and improve platform functionality. We do not sell your personal health information.
3. Data Sharing
We may share data only with authorized healthcare providers and pharmacies participating in MDHIN, trusted service providers supporting platform operations, and as required by law. Any sharing is limited to what is reasonably necessary for care, platform support, or compliance.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transmission, secure cloud infrastructure, access controls, and role-based permissions. No system is completely risk free, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
5. CMS Blue Button Compliance
MyMDHub uses the CMS Blue Button 2.0 API to retrieve Medicare data with your authorization. We comply with CMS requirements for secure handling of beneficiary data, user consent, authorization, and storage.
6. Your Rights
You may disconnect your Medicare account, request deletion of your information where applicable, and contact us with privacy questions or support requests.
