Connect Your Records
This proof of concept supports uploads and secure sharing now, and is ready to connect to CMS Blue Button sandbox for Medicare record import.
Technical Specifications and Standards
MyMDHub uses CMS Blue Button 2.0 Version 2 in the sandbox environment, based on HL7 FHIR R4, the CARIN Consumer Directed Payer Data Exchange Implementation Guide, OAuth 2.0, and a RESTful JSON API.
Environment
Development is configured for the CMS sandbox. Sandbox credentials only work in the sandbox. Production credentials are issued after CMS production approval.
Scope of access
Access is granted per beneficiary after authorization. Current planned scopes include openid, profile, patient/Patient.rs, patient/Coverage.rs, and patient/ExplanationOfBenefit.rs.
Beneficiary controls
During the Blue Button authorization flow, a beneficiary may allow claims access and may choose whether to include demographic data such as name, date of birth, race, and sex.
Current integration
The site is prepared to launch the sandbox authorization flow through the MyMDHub Worker callback at /api/bluebutton/callback.
